Intensive training of operators and specialists has led to a thorough understanding of how to combat the variation of the forming process. Our consultants' input and training has contributed to effective results and total acceptance of the new system. In combination with more structured working methods, Al Tajir Glass has been able to achieve an increase in PTM of 1.5 % by improving:

1. Bottle handling, using the ware spacing overview
2. Glass distribution, using the feedback of the control charts
3. Losses due to HE detection & rejection of thin bottoms, thin necks and critical faults like bird swing and pinch neck
4. The use of the IR-D system when ramping up after a product changeover. Now both product and process quality reach the desired levels much faster than previously

AL Tajir is very satisfied with the improved quality of both its products and forming process (= strong reduction of critical defects). Additionally, as a direct result of this improvement project, Al Tajir has achieved a startling return on the investment.
